The founder, Dr. Michael Binder, is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been in practice for nearly twenty-five years. He is the former Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and is active in research and education on disorders of the brain and sicknesses of the soul.

After experiencing a crippling back injury several years ago, divine providence led him to the work of Dr. Thomas Griner, which opened the door to his recovery and the hidden truth behind chronic musculoskeletal pain. Since then, he has been using his treatment experience and his background in kinesiology, athletics, and physical fitness to bring painless healing to others.

Dr. Binder is the author of three books that together address the health of the mind, the body, and the spirit. Am I Depressed Or Am I Bipolar? discusses abnormalities of brain function with an emphasis on bipolar disorder, a condition that continues to be widely misdiagnosed and treated; The Golden Book of Muscle Health and Restoration discusses groundbreaking treatment for chronic musculoskeletal pain and the principles of healthy exercise; and Miracles: Ask and Ye Shall Receive recounts over one-hundred miracles in the life of the doctor himself and how they led him to become a spiritually-based physician.

The goal of the Binder Foundation is to educate the public about common physical and emotional disorders and to bring effective new treatments to those who need them. In a world that is becoming increasingly stressful, the Binder Foundation provides inspirational facts and time-tested interventions that help reduce emotional and physical suffering and open the door to a happier and more productive life.
